As we scale, we are seeking a VP of GTM Strategy & Operations to drive a data-driven, high-performing, and repeatable go-to-market (GTM) strategy that accelerates revenue growth, optimizes sales processes, and ensures alignment across marketing, sales, solution engineering, and customer success teams.

Job Description:

As the VP of GTM Strategy & Operations, you will be responsible for building and executing a holistic go-to-market strategy, ensuring our commercial functions are aligned, efficient, and optimized for scale. You will lead revenue operations, sales enablement, pipeline management, and cross-functional GTM alignment, leveraging analytics and process optimization to improve conversion rates and accelerate deal velocity.
In this role, you will be a key individual contributor that acts as a strategic partner to Growth, Commercial, Data Science and Product teams and builds a foundation for future team members. You will provide data-driven insights to shape pipeline development, personally drive sales execution as new leads are generated and customer engagement strategies. You will also oversee the systems, processes, and analytics that drive operational excellence across GTM functions
You will be instrumental in ensuring that our GTM machine is efficient, predictable, and scalable, delivering the insights and frameworks needed to improve lead generation, sales performance, and revenue retention. This role will establish a foundation for building a team as emtelligent grows.

Key Responsibilities:
GTM Strategy & Alignment

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy that ensures seamless alignment between marketing, sales, solution engineering, and customer success.
  • Define ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and Target Market Strategy, ensuring that sales and marketing efforts are focused on high-value opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define annual and quarterly revenue goals, ensuring GTM functions are aligned to hit targets.
  • Build market segmentation frameworks to refine messaging, targeting, and prioritization of customer engagement efforts.
  • Partner with product marketing and sales enablement to develop compelling sales narratives, playbooks, and competitive positioning.

Revenue Operations & Pipeline Optimization

  • Own end-to-end sales funnel performance, ensuring alignment across lead generation, qualification, pipeline conversion, and customer retention.
  • Implement lead scoring models and pipeline health dashboards to provide visibility into GTM performance and conversion bottlenecks.
  • Partner with sales and solution engineering to optimize Pilot-to-customer conversion rates, ensuring seamless handoffs and clear success criteria for pilots.

Sales Process & Enablement

  • Drive cross-functional team adherence to emtelligent’s evolving sales process.
  • Manage customer meeting(s) and expectations for each lead until solution engineering Proof of Concept.
  • Enter and optimize emtelligent’s CRM tool, ensuring rigorous completion of accurate data.
  • Communicate proactively and frequently with all team members regarding sales and customer activities, dependencies, and issues that need to be resolved for accelerated pipeline velocity.
  • Discern data points that can convert into customer profiles, campaigns, and provide inputs to future market sales strategies.
  • Build customer sales and customer use case collateral utilizing your industry and segment expertise.
  • Drive process optimization and automation, ensuring that GTM teams have efficient, scalable workflows to improve deal velocity.
  • Oversee CRM (HubSpot) and sales tech stack management, ensuring data accuracy, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with sales enablement teams to develop and refine playbooks, training programs, and onboarding materials for SDRs and sales teams.
  • Define KPIs for each stage of the sales process, ensuring visibility into conversion rates, cycle times, and overall pipeline health.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development

  • Work effectively and influence cross-functional colleagues at all job levels as an individual contributor to drive revenue growth and sales team effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify work that needs to get done to close sales leads and collaboratively execute to resolve issues that arise in a startup environment.
  • Partner with Solution Engineering and Customer Success team to identify future upsell opportunities for each customer.
  • Drive strategic and tactical projects for the organization, with executive presence and tangible impact that spans across the entire team.
  • Drive collaboration between sales, marketing, and commercial leadership to ensure clear ownership and alignment at each stage of the GTM funnel.
  • Partner with finance and executive leadership to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CGO and executive leadership, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize GTM execution.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in GTM strategy, sales operations, or revenue operations, with leadership experience in SaaS or healthcare technology.
  • Experience working at a technology startup and/or growing a business from the beginning.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to work tactically and strategically throughout complex and long sales cycles; have identified and implemented opportunities to shorten sales cycle that leads to accelerated sales.
  • Proven expertise in designing and optimizing GTM processes, pipeline management, and sales analytics.
  • Experience working closely with solution engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align GTM execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM (HubSpot), BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI), and sales automation platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable improvements in GTM efficiency and sales performance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational alignment.
